![]() Aggro's going to get synced to level 23 as that's the level cap for the dungeon. They're generally very easy, and Halatali is no exception.Īnyway, let's dive right in. Light parties are just the game's way of defining four-player parties with one tank, two DPS, and a single healer - as a reminder. As of this update (only two days before the final content patch of Heavensward), all dungeons are considered light party content - with the exception of two at the end of the A Realm Reborn campaign. With that, we can now hit up the dungeon in the duty finder. Not that Aggro will see any of it in this update. Aggro is still wearing her equipment from the three tutorial dungeons. Since they're all in normal quality, the rewards for quests still suck. Next to him are a couple of NPCs that we don't care about - one of which won't be relevant until we finish the A Realm Reborn campaign. ![]() Just outside is Fafajoni, who Aggro will need to speak to in order to be granted entry and complete the quest. For a long time, the maps are going to feel small.īehind the Sandgates is the entrance to Halatali itself. The gates that lead to Halatali are just seconds away from Camp Drybone, situated just south of the crossroads that's also right next to the zone line between eastern and central Thanalan. I guess it's still dense, but it feels too dense. Suddenly, everything feels really small and there's not enough of anything. That kind of doesn't matter anymore once you have a chocobo. The maps in A Realm Reborn are sized fairly well, and are pretty dense and rich with content. ![]() It takes a full second, but the new Company Chocobo action in the Mount Guide will call Bobbycorwen to us.Ĭlick to play new track: Eorzea de Chocobo It's in eastern Thanalan, so let's just hop over there. Nedrick is a good person, and he's already passed Aggro's name off to the Flame gatekeep of the ruins of Halatali. For one such as yourself, I daresay there is no place finer than Halatali to test your skill and refine your technique. But in the dark of that shadow lurk wild beasts, both bloodthirsty and beyond count. The Calamity laid ruin to it, though, as it did to most things. It was built some one hundred years past as a training ground for gladiators. Tucked away in a corner of eastern Thanalan lies Halatali, and it is there that you will find all the excitement you crave. He's significant enough to also be a Scion as well, but not significant enough to get his own portrait. Nedrick Ironheart's grandfather is the one who penned the map of Eorzea, and he himself is mapping the changes made since the Calamity. Once it's gone, it's gone for good but Aggro will permanently be able to call her steed from anywhere.Īnyhow, back in Vesper Bay is a very interesting NPC. ![]() The actual action to summon our new chocobo requires that we use it. Being that it's a Final Fantasy game, expect many varieties of chocobos to show up as mounts though, not all mounts are chocobos. This whistle specifically unlocks the Company Chocobo. Up until this point, Aggro has actually been rewarded with other mounts from veteran rewards or collector's editions, but she hasn't been able to use them. This is basically just a throwaway line so that we know mounts have been unlocked as a whole and not just chocobo riding. Unlike the whistle, which Aggro will receive once the quest completion has been confirmed, the license isn't an item that we'll see in Aggro's inventory. We'll need to run over to the ferry instead.Īnd lastly, I present you with your chocobo rider's license, as is required by law. Sadly, he's very shy and timid so don't expect him to show up in a crowded city or a scary dungeon. ![]() Now that Bobbycorwen has been named, the chocobokeep gives Aggro a special chocobo whistle which will let us summon our new buddy. I think it's another archaic 1.0 leftover like everything else? It's probably 1.0. It's maybe one of the most unnecessarily strict rules in the game, but there you go. We're back, and we've named our chocobo! Everyone, meet Bobbycorwen! For some reason, we can't have uppercase or spaces in the name. ![]()
